As Sleeping At Last is putting the finishes touches on its third studio CD, the alternative rockers are giving listeners an early reason to celebrate. Throughout the remainder of June, the group is inviting music lovers of all associations to either pay whatever they want for 2006’s Keep No Score or grab a download of the entire disc for free after telling five friends. Summer festival season is about to hit full swing and all eyes will certainly center on Chicago come Lollapalooza 2009 (hitting Grant Park August 7-9). Though the line-up has yet to be annouced, last year’s trifecta of headliners included Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine and Kanye West, which means there won’t likely be a shortage of major players throughout the upcoming installment. Who will take home “Album of the Year” at the Grammy Awards?

Even with a sinking economy, whoever wins at the 51st Grammy Awards this Sunday will likely see in spike in album sales or digital downloads on Monday. But when it comes to who will win the “Album of the Year” category, it truly is a tough call thanks to a several deserving projects and a few that sold so many copies, they could take home the prize even if the quality level is up for debate. The nominations list kicks off with Coldplay’s Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends (Capitol), followed by Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III (Universal Motown/Cash Money), Ne-Yo’s Year of the Gentlemen (Def Jam/Compound), Robert Plant & Alison Krauss’ Raising Sand (Rounder) and Radiohead’s independent debut In Rainbows.
