Sonic Youth to host Sirius show
Sonic Youth will host a limited-run, two-hour nightly show on SIRIUS XMU beginning Monday, July 6. The Sonic Youth Show will feature music hand-picked by the band, including favorites from their archives and songs by various artists that have influenced them throughout their career. During each show, the band will offer fans an inside look into the creative process of their most recent album, The Eternal. Gordon, Moore, Ranaldo and Shelley will share stories behind some of their best known songs, including “Kool Thing,” “Bull In The Heather” and “Teenage Riot.” The show will on SIRIUS XMU, SIRIUS channel 26 and XM channel 43 on Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10 from 8-10 pm ET. A “Best of The Sonic Youth Show” will air throughout the weekend of Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, featuring hourly highlights from the nightly show.
